Come as you are: Pilot movement sessions for people with chronic pain @ Trinity Centre

  • Trinity Centre Trinity Road Bristol BS2 0NW (map)

Free Movement Sessions for anyone who experiences chronic pain, or other hidden illnesses (i.e. fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue, lupus, etc which tend to have associated chronic pain).

This is a safe space for us to play, move and rest together. We champion 'horizontality as participatory mode,' meaning you are free to lie down for all or part of the session.

The format of the session is:

10.30am - 11am:  space to arrive & stretch quietly together

11am - 12pm: check in & movement session led by Raquel Meseguer (Unchartered Collective / Lost Dog).

12pm - 12.30pm check out & space to rest before we go out into the world again.

The Sessions are happening on 16 October, 30th October, 13th November and 27th November.

We can offer this session free, because Trinity Centre have given us space to test the demand for a regular session for people with chronic pain. The space is wheelchair accessible with some parking available, and we welcome people with different mobilities (n.b. as a group with chronic pain, we are not able to assist people with very complex mobility needs, who need help to support their weight).
