The Cloudspotting Booklet is a guide to resting in your town or city, with stories and principles that support the subversive act of lying down in public and the empathic act of connecting with those whose voices we don’t usually hear.

It’s a in invitation to go out and find a place to rest and to experience a curated audio journey of stories, poems and conversations with Cloudspotters.

Raquel has been collecting stories about people’s attempt to rest in public since 2017. At first she thought she might belong to a small crew of people who need to rest throughout the day to manage pain or fatigue. Over two hundred and fifty stories later, it turns out it’s a pretty big crew.

With stories and conversations with chronically ill artists from across Europe, including Jess Thom aka Touretteshero, and conversations with chronically ill artists from across Europe, the booklet invites you to see the city differently and to confront the taboos that prevent us from resting, even when we really need to.
